Stokesville Observatory is an astronomical observatory at Stokesville Campground in Stokesville, near Mount Solon, Virginia, beside the George Washington National Forest. Owned by H. D. Riddleberger of Harrisonburg, it includes a sixteen-foot-diameter silo-style room housing a fourteen-inch Celestron Compustar telescope owned by James Madison University beneath a powered Ash dome. An adjoining shaped room contains astronomy displays and materials for instructional classes, and eight powered piers around the building allow additional telescopes to be mounted.
