Hilgard Junction State Recreation Area is an Oregon state park in Hilgard along the Grande Ronde River at the meeting of Interstate 84 and Highway 244 in eastern Oregon. Managed by the Oregon Parks and Recreation Department, it serves as both a campground and a roadside recreation stop. Its name comes from a nearby junction on the Union Pacific Railroad line, which was itself named for E. W. Hilgard, a former dean of the College of Agriculture at the University of California. The park includes full RV hook-up sites, tent campsites, flush toilets, and showers.
