New Providence Veterans Memorial Park is dedicated to the men and women of New Providence, New Jersey, who lost their lives while serving in the armed forces of the United States. Memorial Day, May 30, 1994, marked a tribute to those from New Providence who served in Korea, with the words Freedom Is Not Free and the Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States, Beacon Hill Post 190. A further tribute honors the men and women who served in Vietnam through the Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States, Beacon Hill Post 190, and was dedicated in 2009 under Commander Nicholas Perillo, Quartermaster William Cucco, and Adjutant Alphonso Allocco.
