Oak Ridge Cemetery, an early community cemetery in Madison located on approximately eleven acres of land donated by two pioneer citizens, presents a profile of North Florida history through those buried there, including master builder William Archer Hammerly; Angus Paterson, former mayor of Madison and delegate to the Constitutional Convention of 1885; Cary Augustus Hardee, Governor of Florida from 1921 to 1925; Colin P. Kelly, Jr., a World War II hero; and 31 Confederate soldiers killed at the Battle of Olustee.
