Nettie Woods Covered Bridge
Transportation
Nettie Woods Covered Bridge is a historic wooden bridge in Center Township, Pennsylvania, carrying a road over Pursley Creek. Built in 1882, it has a 40-foot Queenpost truss span, a simple timber form commonly used for small rural crossings, and a tin-covered gable roof. By the late 1970s, it was recognized as one of only nine historic covered bridges still standing in Greene County, reflecting the region’s earlier road system and bridge-building practices. Its significance was formally recognized with its listing on the National Register of Historic Places in 1979.
