The Needles are a striking cluster of rock pinnacles and mountain peaks in the Havasu National Wildlife Refuge of northwestern Arizona, on the northwestern edge of the Mojave Mountains beside Topock Gorge and the Colorado River. Rising from about 1,207 feet to more than 1,600 feet, they are known for their sharp, prominent silhouettes above the river corridor. Their position at the edge of the gorge within a protected refuge landscape has made them one of the most notable geologic landmarks along this stretch of the lower Colorado.
