On March 15 and 30, 1697, at Haverhill, amid war whoops, tomahawk, faggot, and infanticides, the ashes of wigwam campfires and of ten of the tribe were here, and the names Hannah Duston, Mary Neff, and Samuel Leonardson were set beside the date March 30, 1697, midnight.
