Whitewater Glacier lies on Mount Jefferson in Oregon on the mountain’s east and northeast slopes in the Cascade Range. Beginning near the summit above 10,000 feet and descending to about 7,500 feet, it spreads broadly across the upper mountain and measures nearly 2 miles wide from north to south. Its position high on one of Oregon’s major Cascade volcanoes places it among the small number of glaciers that still remain on the state’s tallest peaks.
