Black Mesa is a mesa in the White Mountains of eastern Arizona, in Navajo County, on the Navajo Nation near State Route 77 between Snowflake and Show Low. Though its name suggests otherwise, it is identified as a mesa rather than a peak and forms part of the White Mountains' high country landscape. Its location on Navajo land places it within a region defined both by notable landforms and by the enduring presence of the Navajo Nation.
