The Antonov AN-25, NATO code name Colt, was a Russian-designed, probably Polish-built aircraft and the largest single-engine biplane. Produced from 1948 until 2008, with 16,164 built, most in Soviet countries and China, it was used for agricultural crop dusting, general cargo up to 2734 pounds, 10 to 12 passengers, 14 paratroopers, or 6 stretchers, and could be equipped with skis or floats. It used a 1000 horsepower, 9-cylinder radial Ah-62 engine. Its dimensions included an upper wing span of 59 feet 8 inches and a length of 42 feet 6 inches. Performance included a maximum speed of 157 mph, a landing speed of 47 mph, and a range of 562 miles. Leading-edge slats on the upper wings extended to enable STOL operation from small fields, with a grass takeoff run of 655 feet and an empty landing run of 330 feet. It was donated to Massey Air Museum in memory of Kate Macario in 2020.
