Originally a U.S. Post Office, this building later housed the Red Hound Bar, which opened in the 1930s. During the Great Louisiana Maneuvers that preceded World War II, it was a favorite watering hole for many military men, including Generals George S. Patton, Omar Bradley, and Mark Clark. It was restored in 2000 by Regionald and Mickie Seastrunk.
