From 1889 to 1909, Frank Lloyd Wright's Oak Park Home and Studio served as his residence, studio, and architectural laboratory. There he created the Prairie Style, a new modern American architecture, and designed many of his most important buildings, including Unity Temple, the Robie House, and more than 30 residences in the community.
