During the Korean Conflict from 1950 to 1953, men from Lawrence County, Indiana answered their country’s call and gave their lives so that others might live in peace. Those honored are Thomas M. Beedie, Robert J. Carmichael, Glen E. Cottengain, Milton Hancock, Jr., Earl L. Harris, Robert E. Ice, Kenneth M. Leatherman, Wilbert McFarland, William W. Meadows, Robert L. Mize, Franklin A. Richolson, Daryl S. Recker, James E. Starr, Cecil R. Stockton, James N. Tanksley, Marvin D. Williams, and John W. Zenor. The honor also extends to any person who lost life while serving the country at home or in a foreign land.
