Desert Eagle Observatory, a private amateur astronomical observatory near Benson, Arizona, is operated by Canadian amateur astronomer William Kwong Yu Yeung, known as Bill Yeung. The site focuses chiefly on observing and discovering comets and minor planets, including asteroids and near-Earth objects. From this observatory, Yeung has discovered more than 1,500 minor planets, giving this privately run facility an unusually prominent place in the study of small bodies in the solar system.
