Dr. Robert "Bob" K. Antibus has served the citizens of Allen County as a commissioner for the Johnny Appleseed Metropolitan Park District since January 1993, becoming the longest-serving commissioner in the Park District's history. A retired professor of biology, he taught at Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University, the University of Montana, Clarkson University, and Bluffton University. He is well known and respected in mycology, the study of fungi, and professionals often call on him for identification purposes. Volunteering has long been an important part of his life through service as a volunteer naturalist, hike leader, special event participant, and trustee of the Park District Foundation of Allen County. His career reflects a lifetime of service and commitment to natural resources.
