Lake St. Catherine State Park is a 117-acre Vermont state park in Poultney at the northern end of Lake Saint Catherine. Opened in 1953 as a picnic and swimming area, it grew into a broader recreation park within the state system. The park focuses on lake access and outdoor activities including camping, swimming, boating, fishing, hiking, picnicking, wildlife watching, and winter sports. Its facilities include 50 tent and RV sites, 11 lean-to sites, a snack bar, and boat rentals. Administered by the Vermont Department of Forests, Parks, and Recreation, it also offers ranger-led interpretive programs such as night hikes, nature crafts, campfire programs, amphibian explorations, and nature games.
