The Arthur F. McClure II Archives and University Museum at the University of Central Missouri in Warrensburg preserves the university’s history while also maintaining broader collections for students, the public, genealogists, and researchers of twentieth-century events. Named for history professor Arthur F. McClure II, whose career included scholarship on the Truman presidency and archival and preservation work, it holds yearbooks, catalogs, newspapers, photographs, sports memorabilia, and donated artifacts documenting the school, including material rebuilt after a 1915 fire destroyed earlier records. Its wider collections include twentieth-century American history, especially African American materials, as well as Saudi Arabian, Middle Eastern, Asian, seashell, Guatemalan, Meso-American, Native American, and local prehistoric artifacts.
