The Bank of Rogers building at 114 South First Street, designed by A.O. Clarke and built from 1905 to 1907, opened in 1907. By 1918, it housed the Farmers State Bank. In 1937, the American National Bank moved to this location, followed by the First National Bank, which remained here for 27 years. Its Aswan red granite columns beneath a Romanesque arch signaled that this was the local center of financial power in Rogers.
