U.S. Army SSgt. Day G. Turner of Company B, 319th Infantry, 80th Infantry Division, received the Medal of Honor posthumously for action in Dahl, Luxembourg, on January 8, 1945, and the flag of the United States of America was flown over the United States Capitol on January 8, 1994, in his memory.
