Columbia Hills is a landscape of hills and small mountains along the north bank of the Columbia River in south-central Washington. Rising to 2,667 feet, it includes Columbia Hills Historical State Park, a 3,637-acre state park within this broader terrain. The park contains Horsethief Lake, a reservoir created by The Dalles Dam, and extends along 7,500 feet of freshwater shoreline on the Columbia River. Its significance lies in the variety of settings it brings together, from riverbank and open hills to higher ground with views over this stretch of the Columbia, while also providing camping access.
