The Norman Lykes House, or Circular Sun House, is a Frank Lloyd Wright residence in Phoenix’s Biltmore area, set on a mountainside above Palm Canyon. Drawn in 1959 shortly before Wright’s death, it was his last residential design and one of his few houses around Phoenix. Based on overlapping circles, the two-story house was completed in 1967 by Wright apprentice John Rattenbury for Norman and Aimee Lykes. Built of rose-tinted concrete with curved forms, broad southern views, and carefully integrated interiors, it is widely admired for how it fits the desert slope. Later renovations restored much of its 1967 character.
