The Funk Heritage Center in Waleska, Georgia, on the campus of Reinhardt University, serves as Georgia’s official Frontier and Southeastern Indian Interpretive Center under a 2003 state statute. It is devoted to the history and culture of Native Americans in the southeastern United States. Its facilities include a gallery displaying Native American artifacts and artwork, a theater showing a short film about the region’s Native American history, and a small souvenir shop. The center holds significance as a state-designated place for interpreting the frontier and the Native American heritage of the Southeast.
