Douglas Lodge has been placed on the National Register of Historic Places. Architect Clarence H. Johnson, Sr., designed it, and Thomas C. and Samuel I. Myers, pioneer builders of the Park Rapids area, constructed it. The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources is associated with the site.
