The Houdini Museum in Scranton, Pennsylvania is devoted to Harry Houdini’s life and his strong ties to northeastern Pennsylvania, where he and his brother Hardeen performed and where Houdini spent two full seasons with the Welsh Brothers Circus, the longest engagement of his career. Created from a collection assembled by magicians Dorothy Dietrich and Dick Brooks beginning in the 1970s, it includes memorabilia, artifacts, films, documents, and personal collections. Beyond preserving Houdini history in exhibits and live magic performances, the museum helped restore a replica bust at Houdini’s gravesite in 2011 after the original had been missing for 36 years.
