Ted's Turn was named for Charles "Ted" Boynton, who won the 1950 over 1500cc novice race driving an MG-TC and raced a Frazer-Nash LeMans Replica in 1951-52. The Historic Race Circuits of Elkhart Lake were listed on the National Register of Historic Places on February 17, 2006.
