Tyndall Veterans Memorial Park honors veterans from the area who served the country in all branches of service and in all wars beginning with the Civil War, and it is dedicated to the listed men who gave their lives to protect liberty and secure peace for future generations. It records the charter dates of American Legion Pike-Wagner Post #2 on 10/18/1919, Legion Auxiliary on 5/19/1922, V.F.W. Simek-Ptak Post #6895 on 5/1/1946, and V.F.W. Auxiliary on 12/17/1951. It remembers the sacrifices of Lester R Arneson, Wenceslaus Bares, Ernest L Hladik, Fred C Lang, Peter H Monfore, John Mudder, Lloyd Nedved, Marcel W Novotny, Joseph Obr, Rudolph Pavel, Clifford Petrik, Stillman Pike, Edward Plihal, John Ptak, Donald C Reynolds, Charles Simek, Stephen John Srstka, Jake Stolz Jr, and James E Wagner, and includes words from Abraham Lincoln and the lyrics of Taps.
