The John King Building was built by Mr. John King in 1879. In 1882, his brother, Mr. Jim King, bought it and operated it as a general store. Later it was purchased by Fulp & Linville and became one of the leading general stores in Kernersville. The building was later occupied by Corder's Mens Clothing.
