The Canelo Hills form a low range of mountains and ridges in eastern Santa Cruz County, Arizona, stretching southeast from the Sonoita Creek valley toward the Parker Canyon Lake area and blending into the Huachuca Mountains. Framed by the San Rafael Valley, Harshaw Creek valley, and neighboring mountain blocks, the range is known for its long northwest-to-southeast ridges rather than great height. Its eastern side includes the Canelo Hills Cienega Reserve and the ghost town of Canelo. The hills are also geologically important, with complex folded and faulted rocks, younger volcanic formations, evidence of the Parker Canyon Caldera, and Jurassic rhyolite welded tuff containing large exotic rock blocks.
