Tom and Fran Atkinson founded WMCT, "The Mountain," and the Johnson County Jamboree, and Janice Russell was a musical heritage advocate. A mural was painted by Johnson County Center of the Arts Inspire Art & Healing Classes led by Temple Reece and Cristy Dunn, with mural artists Karen Barr, Terry and Betty Dugger, Shirley Campbell, Ina Bellamy, Evelyn Hagler, Tina Osborne, Diane Jenkins, Patricia Cornett, Karen Rose, Andrew Matherly, Norma Roark, Connie Dexman, Cindy Roberts, and Brionna Reece. Special thanks were given to George Triplett, Mike Reece, Lois Dunn, The Final Touch, The Tomahawk, and WMCT.
