General Baron Frederick William von Steuben’s grave received care and reverence from Welsh settlers and their descendants through their churches, Chapel Isaf and the Baptist Church of Remsen in Oneida County, New York, from A.D. 1804 to A.D. 1930, and this recognition was presented to the people of the townships of Steuben and Remsen and the Baptist Church of Remsen, New York, by the units of the New York State Council of the Steuben Society of America with the cooperation of the State of New York on the 31 day of May 1952.
