Cappahosic House, also known as Baytop House and Cappahosic Ferry House, is a historic brick Georgian residence near Gloucester, Virginia, built around 1751. The two-story, three-bay dwelling has a basement and a standing-seam jerkinhead red tin roof. Its importance extends beyond the house itself because it is believed to occupy the site of an eighteenth-century ferry crossing on the York River. Archaeological deposits on the property, dating chiefly to the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries, provide evidence of that earlier ferry activity and later occupation. A modern two-story rear addition has been attached to the main block, and the property was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2003.
