The SOC-R is a high-speed boat designed with ample weapons and equipment capacity for riverine operations. Its primary mission is inserting and extracting SEALs in low-to-medium threat environments in riverine areas. Secondary missions include providing fire support, serving as a staging area and reconnaissance platform, acting as a waterborne guard post, and operating as an interdiction or search and rescue craft. Quick and maneuverable with a shallow draft, it can operate in coastal environments as well as waterways far inland, and its large capacity allows forces to conduct extended operations.
