Waldo Glacier
Nature
Waldo Glacier lies on the south-southeast slopes of Mount Jefferson in Oregon’s Cascade Range. High on the mountain, it begins near 9,000 feet and descends to about 7,500 feet. The glacier takes its name from John B. Waldo, whose name is also borne by Waldo Lake. Its location on Mount Jefferson makes it part of the high volcanic landscape of the central Oregon Cascades.
