The memorial is dedicated to the brave men and women of Cass County who served so that freedom and justice should not perish from the Earth. It honors service associated with Korea and Vietnam and is part of the Blue Star By Way program, established by the Federation of Garden Clubs in 1945 as a tribute to the World War I Armed Forces of America. It is dedicated to all those who have served, are serving, or will serve in the Armed Forces of the United States of America, and it was rededicated by the Clay Potters Garden Club on 11-11-07.
