The Sulliman Memorial is a lasting tribute to the men of Belvidere who gave their lives in the Korean conflict: George S. Sulliman, 1st Lt. Infantry, U.S.M.C., killed in action on April 24, 1951, at Hwachon, Korea, and Leland R. Kahrmann, P.F.C., Airborne, U.S. Army, killed in Korea on June 23, 1951.
