Weir River Farm in Hingham, Massachusetts, is a nature reserve owned by The Trustees of Reservations and part of a broader protected landscape that includes Whitney and Thayer Woods and the town-owned Turkey Hill property, also managed by the Trustees. The farm was once the home of painter Polly Thayer Starr, who donated it to The Trustees of Reservations in 1999. From June 12, 2021, through June 1, 2022, the site hosted Polly Thayer Starr: Spirit of Discovery, a special exhibition that linked its natural setting to the artist’s 75-year legacy through outdoor exploration, observation, and imagination.
