West Kennebago Mountain in Oxford County, western Maine, stands among neighboring peaks including Twin Mountains to the north and Burnt Mountain to the southwest. It lies within the watershed of the upper Androscoggin River, part of a drainage network that eventually reaches Merrymeeting Bay and the Gulf of Maine. The mountain’s east side and north end drain into the Kennebago River, with Otter Brook carrying water from the north. Its west and south sides feed the Cupsuptic River system through the Little East Branch and Beaver Brook, connecting it to Cupsuptic Lake, Umbagog Lake, and the Androscoggin headwaters.
