Dodge County Confederate Monument
Military

In April 1910, the Fannie Gordon Chapter of the United Daughters of the Confederacy erected the Dodge County Confederate Monument to honor Confederate soldiers of 1861-1865, both those who fought and lived and those who fought and died, and to keep fresh in memory what it called the noble deeds of these devoted sons. Its inscriptions praise them as brave soldiers and true patriots, declare that they won immortality of love and reverence, and affirm that the principles for which they fought can never die.
