The bell formerly atop The Beech Creek Memorial Presbyterian Church, now The Friendship Community Center, was purchased from the center by Sara McGhee and given to the community for preservation in memory of her parents, Oscar M. McGhee and Jamima Haagen McGhee, on February 13, 1984. Its inscription reads: In Memoriam Captain James A. Quigley 1840 - 1920, fifty-four years an Elder. Presented, 1921, on the fiftieth anniversary of the Beech Creek Memorial Presbyterian Church, founded April 27, 1871.
