The Riverwalk Amphitheater includes the Millennium Wall and Millennium Labyrinth, created as part of Naperville’s Celebration 2000. The Millennium Wall honors the thousands of people who lived in Naperville at the turn of the third millennium and reflects citizens working and planning together in a spirit of respect and honor for their shared lives within the community. It also expresses thanks to the individuals and businesses who contributed to the citywide celebration welcoming the third millennium. Sponsored by Harris Bank, Naperville, the Millennium Wall was dedicated January 1, 2000. The Millennium Labyrinth, dedicated September 3, 1998, is presented as a universally recognized ancient symbol of the unity of life’s journey shared by all people and as a gift to the people of Naperville of today and tomorrow, created through Celebration 2000, The Riverwalk Commission, and artist Marty Kermeen.
