Superior Falls is a ninety-foot waterfall on the Montreal River at the Wisconsin-Michigan line, where the river forms the border before entering Lake Superior at Oronto Bay. Near the river’s mouth, the falls have an unusually commanding setting despite their short distance from the lake. The site also became known for an extreme kayaking feat in the spring of 2006, when Tao Berman launched from a helicopter and ran the falls through the turbulent water below. That stunt later appeared on the Discovery Channel program Stunt Junkies: Go Big or Go Home in the episode "Kayak Plunge."
