The F-100F Super Sabre, manufactured by North American Aviation, Inc. from 1956 through 1959, was a fighter-bomber used in the Vietnam War with a crew of a pilot and weapons officer. It had a fuselage length of 47.4 feet, a wingspan of 38.8 feet, a height of 16.2 feet, and a weight of 34,832 pounds. Powered by a Pratt & Whitney J57-P-21A turbojet with 17,000 pounds of thrust, it reached a maximum speed of 864 miles per hour at 35,000 feet, had a ceiling of 45,015 feet, and a range of 1500 miles. Its armament included two 20mm cannons and 7500 pounds of external stores, including air-to-air and air-to-ground missiles or two atomic bombs.
