Carol Littleton, A.C.E., one of Hollywood's most talented and award-winning film editors, graduated from Miami High School in 1960. After graduating with honors from the University of Oklahoma, she completed her master's thesis at the University of Paris as a Fulbright Scholar in 1969. Her editing career spans 38 years and includes more than 38 feature films, many well known to audiences, including "Body Heart," "The Big Chill," "Silverado," "Places In The Heart," "The Manchurian Candidate," "E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial," which received an Academy Award nomination, "Tuesdays With Morrie," which received an Emmy Award, and "China Moon," directed by her husband, award-winning cinematographer John Bailey, A.S.C. In 1987, she was elected president of the Editors Guild, and in the mid-1990s, she and her husband were elected to the Board of Governors of the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences, the first time a married couple had served together since Mary Pickford and Douglas Fairbanks. They remain active members of the Academy.
