Scott County men who were killed in action or died while in active service in World War I and World War II were remembered as having given their lives for God and country so that justice, freedom, and democracy might survive as the victorious ideal of the peoples of the world, and their sacrifice was honored with the declaration that because of them lives are free and the nation lives.
