Diana's Punchbowl, also known as the Devil's Cauldron, is a thermal spring in Monitor Valley in central-western Nevada, about 30 miles southeast of Austin near the state's geographic center. In the geothermically active Great Basin, the spring rises on a small fault and has built a domelike travertine hill topped by a cup-shaped depression. The mound is about 600 feet across, and the bowl is about 50 feet wide and 30 feet deep, with hot water lying well below the rim. Water in the main pool reaches around 200 °F before flowing into a hot creek and cooling through a series of rock pools.
