Completed in 1926 on land donated by I. M. Austin, the Dade City Woman’s Club clubhouse stands as a monument to dedicated local women who raised $23,000 for its construction. Sallie Embry was a charter member of the club in 1910. For the next 17 years, Dollie Hensley led fundraising efforts and other projects. Charter member Ruth Emery “Polly” Toughton is also honored.
