Twin Peaks is a 13,191-foot mountain in Wyoming’s Wind River Range, in the Bridger Wilderness of Bridger–Teton National Forest, and ranks as the state’s twentieth highest peak. Near Mount Woodrow Wilson and Split Mountain, it rises in a rugged, remote alpine setting shaped by ice, with Mammoth Glacier on its north slopes and the smaller Twins Glacier to the southeast. The surrounding central Wind River Range is known for steep class 4 and 5 terrain and other backcountry hazards, including rockfall, bears, sudden cold, snow, bugs, and wildfire. Twin Peaks is significant today as a prominent wilderness summit in one of Wyoming’s classic high mountain landscapes.
