Dudley's Chapel was the first Methodist meeting house in Queen Anne’s County and is one of the earliest surviving Methodist churches in the nation. It grew out of a society organized in 1774. Bishops Francis Asbury, Thomas Coke, and Richard Whatcoat preached here. The brick chapel was renovated in 1883 and is on the National Register of Historic Places.
