Buck Mountain is a 1,529-foot summit in southern St. Francois County, Missouri. It lies east of Missouri Route V, roughly six miles northeast of Pilot Knob and six miles southwest of Doe Run. Its name comes from the bucks that were found in the surrounding area, reflecting the local presence of deer. Although one app shows it as a hill, local geographic records identify Buck Mountain as a summit and mountain.
