Isaac Parker was a pioneer, soldier, and law maker, born April 7, 1793 in Elbert County, Georgia. He came to Texas in 1833 and served in Elisha Clapp's Company in 1836. He was a member of Congress of the Republic of Texas from 1839 to 1845, a member of the Constitutional Convention in 1845, and later a State Senator. He died April 14, 1883 in Parker County.
